Then there is today! Perhaps still normal but here are the details that make things interesting. Boys slept until almost 7am. I thought we were off to a good start but Jake resisted taking his morning nap and when I went into check on him he had a dirty diaper. So, I let Jake miss his nap and we went to the gym early. I got a great run in and that was satisfying. After the gym we came home and had lunch. Afterwards there was major mess of yogurt, and spicy mustard and small golden raisins and "joes o's" were all over the floor. So, I took Jake up first for nap then Evan. Evan cried, wanted more stories, told me he was "all done with nap" and went on and on to the point he woke up his brother from his brief nap of 20 minutes in the other room. I went to check on Evan and he had a dirty diaper. So, I brought both boys downstairs and nap time was "over" by 1:30! Ahhhh! What am I supposed to do with 2 cranky tired boys? Thankfully I remembered there was music class at the local library. I hiked up hill for what seemed like forever and "we made it", as Evan said, to the library. We rushed in with the crowd of other moms and babies and toddlers. Evan immediately ran to the front of the room and grabbed the instructors props. He then ran around and around and I realized this wasn't going to work. So we just read stories together in the other room for a bit. There was a lot of me chasing one kid in one direction as the other went the other way too. On our way home we stopped at Montrose park. That was nice but cold. Can't say I love the winter weather. Other than one nice snow I could live without the cold. We were home by 5:00 and I made the boys dinner. Evan ate none of his meal. Jake learned how to turn his bottle upside down and pour the formula out! He finds this fun and interesting. Jake also did his usual poop in his highchair. I say usual because it is EVERY night at dinner he poops and it explodes out. I know that might be too many details but it is hard to manage Evan eating dinner while changing a major blowout. Anyway, to wrap up this day I put on some Christmas tunes. That was a hit! Both Evan and Jake loved it and the songs put me in a cherry mood. Adam came home and took over! Thank goodness for Daddies and devoted husbands! So the kids are now tucked in, yes, it is early bedtime tonight! I love my little monkeys and they sure keep things interesting.
Time for a glass of wine and some relaxation for me! Adam gets to watch the Eagles tonight. It will be a good night for both of us!
