Day 5 & 6

Sunday we bundled up and went to Volta park to have breakfast with Santa. We arrived just in time to see Santa make his grand entrance from a fire truck. It seemed that everyone that had kids under the age of 5 that lived in the Georgetown area was there. So we saw Santa from afar and grabbed a sugar cookie, well, Evan grabbed three! After the kids played for a bit it was time to head home and warm up. It was super cold with the wind and chilled our hands and cheeks. That afternoon Jake and Evan got to help celebrate their buddy Connor's 3rd birthday. We went to an indoor play area. It was a lot of fun, the kids got some energy out and it was nice and warm because we were inside! Jake seemed to most enjoy chasing a ball around(and shoving cupcake frosting in his mouth) and Evan loved riding a toy car down a ramp.

Today was St. Nick Day! That sure was a hit. Evan loved the idea of putting his shoes out at night and the next morning finding a treat stuffed inside. In fact, after his nap he scurried over to the door looking to see if his shoes were there and a treat was left again. Sadly, his shoes were on his feet and St. Nick only visits once a year!
