Take Out- No Way!

Tonight I was tired. I didn't feel like cooking and cleaning and doing the whole dinnertime routine again. I was leaning toward delivery pizza but then the frugal and healthy part of me kicked in. Why not make pizza and salad at home with the ingredients I already have on hand! And so I did....




Salad with greens clipped from my garden and sprouts I grew in a mason jar!

Homemade sauce.
1 can of crushed tomato
crushed fresh garlic
pepperoncinis
olive oil
salt
little black pepper

Pizza with homemade dough
2 1/4 tsp of yeast
3/4 c. warm water
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar

Mix water and yeast together. Let sit 5 minutes. Add other ingredients. Knead until it comes together into a ball. Let rest in bowl covered with dishtowel for 15 minutes. Roll out top with toppings and bake in 450 oven for 10-15 minutes! Yum!

Boys had strombolli instead of pizza. Same idea but we rolled theirs up then baked. 

I am so glad I didn't get take-out pizza! This was oh so delicious and didn't cost me any extra money! I think probably a bit healthier too.
