Anyway, I took some pictures. For some reason if I take a picture some how it all becomes a fun story and experience! I brought back my wet and dirty children and threw them in the tub. They couldn't have been happier and to be honest I was feeling a lot of joy and excitement knowing that the days of my kids being covered in sticky popsicles, stinky river water, and sweaty little heads is here! Yippee!

Let the Summer Fun Begin
Yesterday was a adventure! My mom encouraged us to take the little drive to DICK'S sporting goods store to get new surf socks for Evan. Now let me first say since we bought our kayaks at DICK'S about a month ago the boys have been fervently praying for a return trip to the store. They love it there. So, it wasn't hard to convince them to go for the ride. A pair of surf socks, crocs, 2 fishing vests, 2 super size water guns and a box of crackers later we came home for a little picnic on my deck. My mom is so generous, giving and loving! My children are spoiled silly by her not only with material gifts also with her love. I know she prays for them each night and is there for them in any and all ways she can. They are so lucky to have such awesome grandparents!
After nap the boys suited up in their new gear and we took a walk to the community pier. The boys used their bamboo "fishing rods" and started fishing. Siena spotted ducks and started following them around a neighbors yard. I realized I hadn't taken a video of her walking yet so I checked on the boys and started filming a short video on my camera. In less then a moment I turned around and Evan and Jake were half way out on the jetty. Jake quickly came back to land and Evan complained telling me he was stuck. I asked him to come and he sorta tried but slipped and cut his hand on a barnacle. I continued to encourage and order him to come but he said he just couldn't do it. So I strapped Siena in the stroller and waded out to help him. When I was within a couple of feet of him miraculously he realized he could do it on his own. Ugh! Was he manipulating me the whole time? I wasn't happy.
Yippee!
