Jake Turned 3!!!

Jake is officially a BIG boy! Literally days before his birthday we started potty training. I had a bit of anxiety and worry but I decided to do what I should always do "Give it to God!".  It might sound silly but I specifically asked God to be with me, Jake and our family during potty training. God is Good! Potty training took about a week and of course we had accidents, bribes with chocolates, and extra dirty laundry, but after a week, just one week, Jake no longer needed diapers and has had dry clean undies! I am so proud of Jake! He is smart, independent, and controlled. One of the tricks that worked best was the Jake and the Neverland Pirates Tattoo. If you look at Jake and Evan(he gets rewarded for being a supportive big brother) they are both covered in tattoos. From their belly all the way up and down their arms tattoos! That just means a lot of successful trips to the bathroom! I am proud of them! So with this new found independence we also realized it was time to give him some freedom with his sleeping arrangements. He already figured out how to climb out of his crib so we took the railing off and now he has liberty and easy access in and out of his bed. He loves it! He has done a rather good job of not abusing this privilege and only gets out when he has to go to the bathroom. Of course, he might say he has to go to the bathroom 5 times in a row, but I know the excitement of getting out of bed will fade.
Jake is a sweet dear hearted boy that loves to get cuddles, extra kisses and love. He has about 4 favorite shirts: Eagles shirt, 2 short sleeve pirate shirts, and a long sleeve Pirate shirt that are in constant rotation. Shorts are a must but understands we change when it is time to go outside into pants. He loves flying around like Buzz Lightyear and says, "To infinity M beyond!" Yes, instead of "and" he says "M"! It is so cute I don't have the hear to correct him. I love my Jake Jake! He is a chocolate cake lover and will finish just about any amount of veggies in order to get a slice. He looks up to Evan and adopts his interests as his own. He shares his gentleness and love with Siena and will rub her head or find a toy to make her smile. I love YOU Jake! You are my gift and angel! Happy Birthday!!!!
