This year I have, again, planned an Advent of Activities to go along with the 25 days of Christmas. Each day I try to do a small or sometimes big activity or adventure with the boys.
So far we have done the following:
Day 1: Read Story of Birth of Christ
Day 2: Color in picture of the Nativity
Day 3: Visit Union Station Model Train Display
Day 4: Visit Merryfield Garden Center to see the Real Santa. This was especially unique because Santa took all the children to a Nativity and told them about the real meaning of Christmas and we sung O Little Town of Bethlehem. To have Santa acknowledge the birth of Jesus Christ in a public venue was surprising and special!
