The past week and a half has been so much fun. Adam took a work trip so Evan and I spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa Hepburn. During our time there Evan got to have his first boat ride! He really enjoyed the wind in his hair and watching the waves in the water. When Adam got back from his travels, the 3 of us went to OC Maryland for the long holiday weekend. It was fantastic. Evan loved crawling around in the sand and we found that a bucket filled with some water to be very entertaining for him. He was a bit scared on the merry-go-round this time. I think the area was too noisy for him. There was a mini roller coaster that kept going by and he didn't like that at all. We got to play mini golf which was super fun, especially because I beat Adam! Evan just hung in his stroller and held on to a club the whole time while Adam and I played. It was fun for all 3 of us. In the evening after Evan was tucked in Adam and I enjoyed dinners on the balcony overlooking the moonlit ocean. We also played cards and Scrabble. Simple fun is the best! It was so nice for the 3 of us to get away together. The time just flew by but we both commented that although it is great to get away we feel so happy and blessed with the home and life we have to come back to!
