Friday February 24th at 12:33 pm our baby girl, Siena Marie, was born weighing 5lbs 12ozs and measuring 18 inches long.
I felt very scared during the c-section and you might even say I freaked out a bit. But, as soon as I heard Siena cry and the doctors announce "it's a girl" a peace and extreme happiness came over me. I have been very blessed with my recovery and even got to leave the hospital a day early. I do have a sore body and feel tired during the day but that is all part of bringing home a newborn baby. I am so glad that Siena and I handled the delivery so well!
Adam has been so wonderful. He was super supportive and gave me comfort during our time in the hospital. Since we've been home he has been "Super Dad". He plays with Evan and Jake and makes sure they get attention, holds and cares for Siena, and also makes sure that I don't overdue it while I am recovering from the surgery.
Our tiny and perfect gift from God. Siena seems very laid back. She is nursing easily, sleeps well, and loves to be held by Daddy.
This is just moments after she was born and she is already smiling at her Mommy and Daddy!
