Evan and I spent this past week staying with Grandma and Grandpa Hepburn because Adam was traveling for work. We had a fun Halloween. We took Evan around to our friends in the neighborhood to say hi and said that Evan didn't need any candy. When they offered it to me I said, "Thank you! I'm pregnant and I won't turn down chocolate!"
The rest of the week was filled with lots of activities for Evan, including throwing rocks in the river, brushing leaves with sticks, and "making soup". Because my Mom was around most of the time during the day I got to scoot out during Evan's naps and take care of a few errands that are so much easier to accomplish on my own. It was wonderful quality time with my family.
When Adam came back Friday we had a really special date. My Dad watched Evan so we could go to see the play, A Streetcar Named Desire, at the Kennedy Center. It was a fantastic evening!
Now it is Monday and we are just getting back into the routine. It is such a treat to have the time away but to be able to come home and feel just is happy is a true blessing.
