What might seem common to some is actually new and exciting to us. We now have the blessing of a backyard! Moving from city life to the suburbs has brought about a lot of change in our life and one being that we can enjoy being home for longer periods of time. In DC we got a bit stir crazy in our small quarters and our back patio was not big enough for the boys to run and play. Now, because we have the space, we have been spending most afternoons at home and playing in our backyard. Yesterday we spent time outside and the boys played golf. Today when we woke up the ground was dusted with snow. That little bit of snow was enough to get us in our snow gear and outside by 9am! Jake was unhappy because I made him wear snow pants but Evan had a terrific time sledding for the first time in our backyard! Oh the joy in the simple things!
