Strawberry Picking

Last weekend the Tarsi Family went to a little farm just about an hour outside of D.C. We've been reading the book Blueberries for Sal almost at every nap and many times before bed. I told Evan when the berry bushes were ripe we would be able to go pick berries just like Little Sal, only ours would be strawberries. He loved the idea and asked often when the berries would be ripe and ready to pick. We had so much fun picking the strawberries. I think we ate just about as many as we picked. Jake sat down immediately in the middle of a clump of bushes and starting chomping on the berries. Evan picked a good amount for our box then starting eating as well. I think this is a spring time activity that will hopefully be a tradition for many years!
