Evan putting "ears" on the snowman

When we weren't outside they were looking through the window at the snow

Note the homemade snow pants (newspaper bags and tape)
Yeah! We made a snowman!
I think this picture is so funny! It is like they both put on their tough guy faces!
This snow day was super fun! We started the adventures right after breakfast. In fact, the talk of making a snowman is what got Evan to eat all of his eggs. We went outside at 8:30 this morning and starting building. The snow couldn't have been more unfavorable for snowman making. It was hard, icy and not pliable, but we figured out a way to get some snow together to resemble a snowman. At first Evan wanted to knock the snowballs over but once we put the carrot nose on he became a "friend" and then instead of knocking him over he gave the snowman a kiss! So CUTE!
To end this day we took a walk around the block. First checked on our snowman. Evan said he looked sad, which after a day of the sun beating on him he did look a bit melty. He found the carrot that had fallen out and put it back and again gave the snowman a kiss. Our walk around the block took an hour because of all the stopping and playing we did. It was great! When we got inside we ate dinner then did a special movie night. We popped popcorn(it was Evan's first time having popcorn) and watched what I thought was the most appropriate movie for the night, Frosty the Snowman!
I loved spending the day with my little cherubs and having so much fun with the snow. They were happy and I was happy. GOD IS GOOD! He blesses us in big ways and small ways. Today was one of those days that the love of Christ just filled my heart through the joy of being a Mom to Evan and Jake! Thank you Lord!
