Can you believe that Jake turns one years old tomorrow? The year has flown by and I think that he is trying to show off all his new accomplishments and milestones before he officially is one. I don't like bragging but I am a proud mom of 2 boys so I can't help but rattle off a few of Jakes new feats.
He now loves to use a fork to eat with food. He just started eating eggs and loves to use his fork. Oh, he has 12 teeth and two more just coming out. That helps with all his munching. He also says many words. Not all people can understand but Adam, Evan and I know what he is saying. I tried to teach him sign language like I did for Evan but instead of using the signs he just started talking! He is taking steps all on his own. He loves walking back and forth from Adam to me. His grin is ear to ear. He couldn't be more happy practicing walking. He is figuring out how to use his fine motor skills and work toys for their proper use and loves filling and emptying things. He'll dump out the blocks then put them all back in the container. He also thinks it is fun to watch items drop over the side of his highchair. I have to remind him this isn't good manners. I'm sure I am just like any other proud mom but I feel like he is so smart and doing so well! I feel so blessed that my little baby that is almost one is such a happy and energized and healthy boy!
